Strategic Planning and Contract Management Leader

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to join our team as the Head of Planning and Contracts. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker who can lead the development and management of key commissioning contracts, ensuring that they reflect the Trust's best interests.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in health and care policy and guidance, with expertise in contract negotiations, contract management, and performance management at a senior level. They will also have significant experience in managing multiple priorities and competing demands, successfully meeting challenging targets and planned objectives.
In this role, you will work closely with Trust colleagues across corporate, clinical, and operational teams, and with wider system partners, to ensure plans are aligned and developed in a consistent manner. You will also be responsible for developing a strategic prioritisation framework that aligns with the Trust's agreed strategic objectives, and for overseeing organisation-wide programmes/initiatives, leading successful change management/service redesign processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the negotiation, development, and management of key commissioning contracts.
- Provide technical expertise on contracts, ensuring the latest national health and care policy is communicated and implemented within the Trust.
- Coordinate and lead the development of a coherent series of annual and longer-term strategic business plans.
- Work closely with Trust colleagues to ensure plans are aligned and developed in a consistent manner.
- Develop a strategic prioritisation framework that aligns with the Trust's agreed strategic objectives.
Requirements
- Masters Level or equivalent qualification and/or experience.
- Evidence of working at a senior level within a contracts or strategic planning role.
- Evidence of continual professional development.
