Job Description:
As a Medical Phlebotomy Specialist with Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, you will play a vital role in delivering patient-centered care by collecting blood specimens from patients across various hospital sites and the Phlebotomy Bus. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To take venous blood samples safely and efficiently from patients on wards, outpatients, and the Phlebotomy Bus.
  • To maintain accurate records of blood specimens collected and ensure timely delivery to laboratories.
  • To utilize the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system to document procedures and manage workflow effectively.

Requirements:
  • Essential: Phlebotomy experience and a full driving license with access to a suitable vehicle.
  • Degree of manual dexterity required for phlebotomy procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and healthcare staff.

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers a competitive salary of £23,615-£25,674 per annum pro rata, dependent on experience.
