We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Walkley Primary School. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to access learning and engage in all aspects of school life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with SEND needs in a variety of settings, including classrooms and one-to-one sessions.
  • Work collaboratively with the year one teaching team to develop and implement strategies to support students with social and emotional needs.
  • Communicate effectively with other staff members, parents, and carers to ensure a consistent approach to supporting students with SEND.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEND.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting students with SEND.
