Deputy Head Chef Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head Chef to join our team at Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food service and contributing to the success of our events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with Senior Head Chefs and Management to plan and execute food offers within designated areas of responsibility.
  • Supervise and manage multiple Chefs, Porters, and Agency Staff, ensuring they are fully briefed, compliant, and knowledgeable within their designated work areas.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve labour, food cost, and wastage management, ensuring costs are aligned with business unit budgets.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, adhering to Departmental Specifications and Amadeus Food Safety policy and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Minimum City Guilds 7062 or NVQ Level 3 in a related field.
  • Intermediate Hygiene certification.
  • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in relevant software.
  • Full Clean Driving License and own transport (desired but essential).
