Deputy Head Chef Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head Chef to join our team at Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food service and contributing to the success of our events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with Senior Head Chefs and Management to plan and execute food offers within designated areas of responsibility.
  • Supervise and manage multiple Chefs, Porters, and Agency Staff, ensuring they are fully briefed, compliant, and knowledgeable within their designated work areas.
  • Develop and monitor team performance, providing timely feedback and coaching to ensure high standards are maintained.
  • Work closely with the Senior Head Chef to set guidelines for Labour, Food Cost, and Wastage, ensuring costs are kept in line with business unit budgets.
  • Ensure food quality and delivery meet Departmental Specifications, reporting any concerns to the Senior Head Chef.
  • Maintain Food Safety requirements, liaising with Amadeus Food and Safety Support Department as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Minimum City Guilds 7062 or NVQ Level 3
  • Intermediate Hygiene
  • Basic Computer Knowledge
  • Full Clean Driving License and own transport (desired but essential)
