About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Health Analyst to join our team at Wiltshire Council. As a Public Health Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting complex data to inform strategic planning, support public health initiatives, and drive positive change in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced data analysis and interpretation to identify trends and patterns in public health data.
  • Develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and other data management systems to ensure accurate and efficient data collection and analysis.
  • Produce high-quality reports, briefings, and presentations to communicate complex data insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement public health initiatives and programs.
  • Stay up-to-date with national data publications and analyze relevant data to inform public health policy and decision-making.
  • Develop and deliver training and capacity-building programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of public health staff.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on data analysis, interpretation, and visualization to support public health decision-making.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, such as public health, epidemiology, or data science.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis, statistical software, and data visualization tools.
  • Experience working with large datasets and developing data management systems.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex data insights into clear and actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
