Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Microbiologist Specialist to join our team at NHS Professionals Limited. As a key member of our Microbiology & Infection team, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical microbiology consultations, liaison, and advice to healthcare professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and experience in laboratory microbiology and infection control.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical microbiology consultations, ward liaison, and advice to healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in infection ward rounds and multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) to discuss patient care and management.
  • Authorise laboratory reports under consultant supervision.
Requirements
  • Clinical microbiology or infectious disease experience.
  • Full GMC registration and evidence of completion of CMT or equivalent.
  • FRCPath part 1 or equivalent.

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. The role also offers diverse learning opportunities in clinical and laboratory microbiology.
