About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Supplier Performance Engineer to join our team at Westinghouse Electric Company LLC. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading company in the clean energy sector, supporting our mission to provide innovative solutions for a sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management: Oversee the flow-down of quality and technical requirements to suppliers, ensuring maximum value is received for purchase orders. Develop and implement performance improvement plans for poor or negative trends in supplier performance.
  • Supplier Oversight: Evaluate procurement risk, develop and manage oversight plans, and execute or delegate oversight of key supplier operations and activities.
  • Supplier Evaluation and Development: Conduct overall supplier assessments, evaluate suppliers' capabilities for complex technical products, and lead supplier development and qualification activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical/Material Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering or manufacturing of mechanical components
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing and quality plans, PFMEAs, etc.
  • Experience leading multiple, concurrent cross-functional projects
  • Experience with nuclear products and European standards desired
  • Personal, industrial, and nuclear safety as a key area of concern
  • Familiarity with risk management and design-to-manufacturing processes
  • Experience performing process capability analysis and qualification
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time for supplier workshops
