Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Assistant to join our Legal and Compliance Department at Prax Headquarters in Weybridge, Surrey. As a key member of our team, you will report directly to the Group Ethics and Compliance Officer and be responsible for assisting with various compliance-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with implementing and conducting Know Your Customer (KYC) processes at Prax and responding to requests for KYC information about the group.
  • Provide compliance support to the IS&T, Risk, and Corporate Finance teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective risk management.
  • Perform due diligence checks on new and existing counterparties to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Support the centrally located Group Legal team with on-site compliance activities, maintaining accurate records of compliance activities and ensuring audit readiness.
  • Develop and implement compliance policies, including the group Code of Conduct and compliance procedures.
  • Manage the raising concerns hotline, Gifts and Entertainment, and conflicts of interest registers.
  • Establish and maintain an online compliance training program for the entire Prax group.
  • Ensure all compliance registers are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Assist with GDPR-related matters and other ad-hoc compliance tasks.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in AML compliance.
  • Ability to meet demanding deadlines, adapt to business needs, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Interest in process improvement and change implementation.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Oil industry experience is an advantage.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in approach.
  • 5 days a week in the office.
