SEND Support Assistant

We are seeking an Associate SEND Support Assistant to join The Bedford College Group at our Bedford College Campus.
This role plays a vital part in the success of our students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) by providing support to access learning in line with their identified needs. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the overall care of the student and enabling them to access college facilities and develop independence within the wider community.
The ideal candidate will have experience of providing support to young people with SEND in an educational or care setting, alongside a good standard of general education (i.e. GCSE - English and Maths). They will also need to demonstrate alignment to our organisational values, including Valuing Teamwork, Improving Continuously, Student Centred, Inclusive, Open and Caring, and Nurturing Education Excellence.
About the Role
As an Associate, you will work on a short-term basis as assigned, teaching or providing support services, and working with and being supported by core staff. You will be issued with an Associate agreement, under which period you will be eligible to work on assignments offered to you.
