The successful candidate will be responsible for directing a range of socio-economic projects, including social and education infrastructure needs assessments, and will have expertise in technical analysis, project management, and marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the socio-economic work stream and direct a range of socio-economic projects
- Manage large projects and undertake research and analysis
- Present work at appeals, Development Consent Orders (DCOs), and examinations in public
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to secure socio-economic related work
- Manage staff and organise relevant training
- Support the head of department and directors in building up the Economics team
Requirements:
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Numerical and analytic skills, including economic and social impact modelling expertise
- Expertise in successfully managing projects and teams to budget and programme
- A good knowledge of the UK planning system
- Experience of presenting cases at appeals and examinations
- A degree in town planning, geography, property surveying, economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
