We are looking for a highly motivated National Advocacy Officer to join our Campaigns and Policy team at the National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA). This is a full-time, fixed-term role for 12 months, with an estimated salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum.

About the Role

The successful candidate will develop and implement national public affairs strategies, working closely with colleagues to ensure NRLA's work represents, supports, and leads members. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing public affairs strategies, project managing and reporting on projects, and analysing relevant policy documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote the NRLA's Work Through Engagement with Political and Sector Stakeholders:

The ideal candidate will build relationships with key parliamentarians and their staff to promote NRLA's public affairs objectives, including providing written and verbal briefings. They will also build and sustain productive working relationships and ensure regular communication with stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Qualifications:

A degree in politics, public policy, or a similar discipline, or equivalent experience is essential. The successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical ability, and numeracy.

  • Experience:

At least one year's experience of working and/or influencing policymakers, politicians, and/or stakeholders is required. The ideal candidate will be flexible, able to work on their own initiative, and as part of a team.
