Job Title: Evidence-Based Advocacy Officer

Job Summary: We are seeking an Evidence-Based Advocacy Officer to join our team. As an Evidence-Based Advocacy Officer, you will be responsible for developing evidence-based policy positions on key issues affecting stroke survivors or those at risk of stroke. Your primary goal will be to ensure that submissions are backed up by evidence and informed by those affected by stroke.

About the Role: The ideal candidate will have experience in developing evidence-based policy positions or statements, identifying and drafting consultation responses, building relationships with policy stakeholders, and meaningfully involving beneficiaries in policy work. You must be a resident of the UK and have the right to work in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Developing evidence-based policy positions on key issues affecting stroke survivors or those at risk of stroke.
  2. Identifying and drafting consultation responses or similar policy-based responses.
  3. Building relationships with policy stakeholders and stakeholder mapping and management.
  4. Meaningly involving beneficiaries in policy work.
  5. Providing expert policy advice and support to colleagues across the organisation.

What You Will Need:
  • Experience of developing evidence-based policy positions or statements.
  • Ability to identify and draft consultation responses or similar policy-based responses.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to involve beneficiaries in policy work.
  • Residency in the UK and the right to work in the UK.

Salary: £38,000 - £48,000 per annum.
