Financial Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our team at Budget Energy. As a key member of our finance function, you will play a critical role in leading a small team, ensuring best practice financial reporting, safeguarding company assets, and maintaining tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and present monthly financial reports to senior management
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of tax returns and industry compliance reports
- Lead the preparation of year-end audit files and liaise with internal and external auditors
- Manage treasury, cash-flow forecasts, and planning
- Review and sign off payroll, FP&A, and commercial reports
- Develop and manage key business metrics and work closely with the Head of Finance on cost/benefit analysis
- Prepare and manage budgets and forecasts, analyzing all overheads
- Support business teams through implementation, monitoring, and improvement of finance system processes
We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with a minimum of five years of post-qualification experience. While knowledge of the energy industry is desirable, it is not essential. The ideal candidate will have excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems, and strong communication skills. They will demonstrate the ability to take ownership and responsibility for their role, with a keen attention to detail and a deadline-oriented and flexible working attitude.
