Financial Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our team at Budget Energy. As a key member of our finance function, you will play a critical role in leading a small team, ensuring best practice financial reporting, safeguarding company assets, and maintaining tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial returns, including tax and industry compliance.
- Treasury and Cash Flow: Manage treasury, cash flow forecasts, and planning to ensure optimal financial performance.
- FP&A / Commercial: Develop and manage key business metrics, work closely with the Head of Finance on cost/benefit analysis, and prepare budgets and forecasts.
- Systems and Controls: Evaluate and implement effective controls to protect assets, profitability, and cash flow, and support business teams in implementing and improving finance system processes.
- Leadership: Manage the finance team, work closely with business leaders, and provide coaching and guidance to direct reports.
We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with a minimum of five years of post-qualification experience. You should have excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems, and strong communication skills. You should also be able to take ownership and responsibility for your role, thrive under pressure, and maintain a deadline-oriented and flexible working attitude.
