Job Title: Finance Manager

Join our client, a well-established organization based in Derry, as a Finance Manager. This is a senior role within a small finance team, overseeing the operational activities of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a small finance team, ensuring effective working practices and making better use of existing and new technology.
  • Prepare regular management accounts on a timely basis, overseeing the annual budget process and financial planning for the organization.
  • Manage and oversee payroll procedures, including Pension Contributions, Tax, and National Insurance payments, and any other relevant deductions.
  • Cash flow forecasting and operational cash management, ensuring monies are available to meet financial commitments while investing excess cash funds to maximize growth.
  • Prepare and ensure accurate quarterly VAT returns, submitted to HMRC on a timely basis.
  • Provide guidance and support on all financial matters, ensuring relevant personnel are kept updated on financial and commercial activities.
  • Coordinate and facilitate quarterly Finance and Audit Committee meetings.
  • Undertake regular review monitoring of working capital balances, ensuring compliance with control and monitoring regulations in line with GDPR.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain efficient financial records, ensuring adherence to relevant financial regulations and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Accountant with previous experience in a managerial role.
  • Payroll, budgeting, and forecasting experience.
  • People management experience.
  • Ability to convey/communicate important information both orally and in writing.
  • Uphold ethical and professional standards.
  • Promote and sustain a responsible attitude towards equal opportunities and diversity.
