About the Role

The Youth Mental Health Navigator will play a crucial role in supporting young people with mental health problems, providing them with access to the right services and resources. You will work closely with a range of agencies, including local authorities, schools, and community organizations, to ensure that young people receive the support they need.

Responsibilities
  • Work with young people to understand their mental health needs and develop personalized plans to support them.
  • Liaise with local authorities, schools, and community organizations to ensure seamless referrals and transitions.
  • Provide information, advice, and signposting to relevant services and resources.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure that young people receive comprehensive care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • NVQ level 4 or equivalent experience in youth work, psychology, or social sciences.
  • Experience of working with young people with mental health problems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
