Clinical Lead in Adult Mental Health

Job Overview
This is a part-time appointment for a consultant to work with inpatients at a designated Greater Manchester location.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide medical leadership to the multidisciplinary team.
- Attend ward rounds during the week at designated times.
- Be the Responsible Clinician and have a role with respect to The Mental Health Act.
- Lead CPA meetings and be actively involved in care planning and risk assessment.
- Take a lead with regards to capacity assessments and best interest meetings.
- Contribute to clinical audit and participate in research.
- Participate in the Manchester senior on-call rota pro rata.
- Be professionally accountable to the lead consultant and operationally accountable to the Head of Operations.
