About the Role

A Learning Support Professional is required to join a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school in South Tyneside. The successful candidate will work with pupils aged 2-19 who have complex or profound needs, with the majority having severe learning difficulties.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30-16:30, making it an ideal role for those seeking a stable routine. This long-term position offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on students' lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pupils in lessons and activities, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Work effectively with parents, carers, and other members of multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless support.
  • Be flexible and resilient, meeting the diverse needs of students and adapting to changing situations.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop strategies that cater to individual students' needs.
  • Contribute to creating a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters students' growth and development.
