Radar Systems Engineering Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced Radar Systems Engineering Lead to join our team at BAE Systems. This senior role will focus on leading the definition and alignment of radar technologies and products, working closely with product design authorities and technical experts.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, leadership, and collaboration. They will be responsible for providing technical and business leadership, guiding engineering teams, and ensuring solutions meet programme, business, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading technical and business initiatives to advance radar technologies and products
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions across disciplines
- Evaluating and adapting supplier technologies for integration into next-generation radar systems
Requirements:
- Proven experience in radar system development with practical knowledge of technologies, requirements management, and configuration management
- Expert understanding of systems engineering principles, including ISO 15288, systems thinking, and holistic approaches to complex problems
- Strong leadership skills with experience in large-scale complex system designs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience presenting technical and non-technical information to stakeholders
Salary Range: £65,000 - £90,000 per annum
