Job Overview

This role offers a unique chance to collaborate with experts in data compliance, addressing changing regulations and consumer needs. As a hybrid opportunity based in Nottingham, you'll have autonomy over your weekly office presence, promoting a collaborative working approach.

We're seeking an experienced compliance professional who has worked in debt management, debt consolidation, and payments. This expert will join our Compliance Advisory Team in a Second Line of Defence (2LoD) capacity, supporting the Experian Consumer Services division.

Responsibilities
  1. You'll support agile product development processes with timely regulatory advice, assisting the First Line of Defence (1LoD) in managing risk. You'll conduct regulatory risk assessments and implement controls to align with our risk appetite.
  2. Working closely with 1LoD, you'll identify areas of regulatory and conduct risk, develop controls, and provide oversight to ensure risks are reported and escalated to operational Risk Management Committees.
  3. You'll assist First Line teams in assessing the impact of regulatory changes and developing necessary controls through a proactive engagement model.
Requirements

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  1. Experience in the regulatory environment relating to payments and debt management.
  2. A background in providing daily compliance advice to stakeholders in a 2LoD advisory position or similar.
  3. Curiosity and a willingness to delve into regulatory challenges faced by the business.
  4. Technical knowledge of the FCA Handbook, specifically CONC and CONC 8, as it relates to debt-related activities, Payment Services, and financial crime risks.
