Position Overview
The Continuing Healthcare Team is seeking an Administrative Support Coordinator to deliver proficient and effective clerical and administrative assistance in the realm of Continuing Healthcare.
The ideal candidate will be self-driven, adaptable, and possess a diverse skill set complemented by exceptional organizational capabilities. The role demands adherence to deadlines, data compilation, and the maintenance of high standards concerning administrative procedures and data integrity. The successful applicant will be responsible for facilitating accurate and effective communication both internally and externally, addressing inquiries from patients, families, caregivers, legal representatives, and healthcare professionals with professionalism and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
The selected individual will serve as a primary administrator within the administrative team, providing comprehensive support for all processes associated with Local Resolutions, Appeals, and Personal Health Budgets.
This position will entail a combination of office-based and remote work.
The successful candidate should demonstrate:
- Experience in administrative roles within an office environment, ideally within a healthcare context.
- The ability to work independently and exhibit initiative, whether autonomously or as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in multitasking and prioritizing both personal and team workloads.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- A high level of competency in IT and keyboard skills.
- A professional telephone demeanor.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in preparing meeting agendas, taking minutes, and distributing related documents.
- Reliability, flexibility, and accountability.
- A solid understanding of confidentiality and data protection concerning patient information.
The role also includes supporting the broader team in the execution of the Local Resolution and Appeals process, including liaising with relevant organizations regarding Independent Review Panels.
Additionally, the position involves assisting with Subject Access Requests and the ongoing administration of Personal Health Budgets.

Qualifications
Essential
- NVQ Level 3 in a relevant field or equivalent qualifications or substantial relevant experience.
- Significant experience in administrative or secretarial roles, including the establishment and maintenance of office systems.
- Proven experience in interacting with the public and managing sensitive and confidential information.
- Intermediate proficiency in IT systems and software applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection regulations.
- Awareness of NHS-related issues.
Communication Skills
Essential
- Clear and effective communicator with excellent writing, data entry, and presentation skills, capable of delivering clear information and instructions to staff and service users.
- Able to perform under pressure in a dynamic work environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
