Job Description

Overview

The role of the Strategic Account Director is to develop business opportunities and potentials within a portfolio of named accounts. This involves significant existing business, but the drive is for further growth by greater penetration in Europe and expanding to brands where M3 has limited engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Strategic Sales Plans: Create and implement a strategic sales plan to meet account targets, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Establish and Maintain Customer Relationships: Build and maintain excellent customer relationships through regular close contact, including face-to-face meetings, telephone, and email communication.
  • Account Management: Give clear direction to Account Managers/Account Directors, facilitating optimal management of accounts, including weekly prioritization of opportunities and agreement of clear action plans.
  • Business Understanding: Manage a portfolio of customers, gaining an in-depth understanding of their business issues and how M3 can help address them.
  • Financial Reporting: Maintain a detailed understanding of the financial status of your portfolio, including revenue and billings status.
  • Campaign Performance: Gather, monitor, and analyze campaign performance data, providing detailed and useful information back to the customer.
  • Strategic Digital Solutions: Sell strategically aligned digital solutions to pharma companies, hunting, proposing, and closing deals in a timely manner.
  • Networking: Build and nurture lasting and fruitful relationships with key clients, including C-suite executives.

Requirements

  • Business Development Experience: Proven experience in business development, with a focus on strategic account management and digital solutions.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the pharma and healthcare industries, including market trends and customer needs.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective sales plans.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial acumen, with the ability to analyze financial data and make informed business decisions.
