Commercial Manager Position

Murphy is seeking a seasoned Commercial Manager to lead our Energy team in Kentish Town, London. As a key member of our award-winning team, you will be responsible for managing commercial aspects of projects and maintaining regular liaison with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all commercial aspects of the project, including budgeting, cost control, and risk management.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the Project Director to set annual business plans and develop strategies to achieve key objectives.
  • Ensure effective negotiations with clients to minimize risk and maximize benefits.
  • Lead the development and training of Commercial Practitioners, providing guidance and mentorship to support their growth and development.

Requirements

  • Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) or equivalent.
  • Commercially astute with substantial experience in a commercial role within the Civil Engineering/Construction industry.
  • Expert knowledge of Standard Forms of Contract and Standard Methods of Measurement.
  • Understanding of programming techniques and project controls.
  • Gravitas and relationship management skills to effectively communicate with senior stakeholders.
