The Café Kitchen Team Lead role at St Monica Trust is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to delivering exceptional food and beverage experiences across our village café. As a key member of the kitchen team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive outstanding service and that our kitchen operations are efficient and effective.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day food and beverage provision for the village café, including catering for bespoke events and themes. You will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure that our kitchen operations run smoothly and that our customers receive the best possible service.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing the day-to-day provision of food and beverages, ensuring that they meet the needs and preferences of our residents and customers.
  • Cooking and preparing food onsite, as well as finishing and serving food from our suppliers.
  • Catering for bespoke events and themes, including meals, parties, and other activities.
  • Engaging with residents and customers to understand their needs and preferences, and responding to feedback and suggestions.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Diploma Level 2 in Food Production/Catering or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of supervising others and managing teams.
  • Knowledge of special dietary requirements and modified diets, as well as experience of advising on nutrition, hydration, and dietary needs.
  • Previous experience working within a busy and fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

We offer a competitive salary of £26,208 - £29,484 per annum, plus benefits including 22.5 hours per week, weekend enhancements, 31 days holiday allowance, access to free gym and pool, generous pension, subsidised meals, discounts on shopping, on-site parking, and much more.
