Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Informatics Specialist to join our team at Aviva. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a critical role in developing, maintaining, and embedding processes and systems that ensure clinical knowledge is stored, shared, and managed within our risk appetite.

About the Role:

  • Develop and maintain clinical operations processes to ensure consistency in quality assurance and risk management.
  • Provide clinical expertise and insight to modernization and change initiatives, with a focus on clinical coding.
  • Analyze claims trends with senior clinical teams to identify opportunities to enhance Aviva's value proposition and delivery of value-based healthcare.
  • Design, maintain, and update clinical operations processes to ensure seamless integration with our digitization journey.
  • Deliver continuous improvement in clinical decision-making capability across all PMI Claims teams through claims education and evaluation of processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert for clinical coding, clinical informatics, and supporting Aviva Health's digitization journey.
  • Conduct analyses and supply information to support the business, inform the business of claims/clinical trends, using professional skills and knowledge to develop and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Identify areas of risk exposure and eliminate risk through working with the clinical team and IT and change functions to identify and support resolution to potential and actual issues.
  • Communicate complex clinical matters to non-clinical people through reports, verbal presentations, and other communication channels.

Requirements:

  • Mandatory requirement to hold and maintain relevant clinical professional qualification and registration.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior clinical teams and non-clinical colleagues.
  • Broad knowledge of private health insurance and NHS market and direction of current clinical trends.
