About the Role
The South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced paramedic to join its Hazardous Area Response Team (HART). As a HART Paramedic Specialist, you will be part of a specialist capability within the ambulance service, providing paramedic-level care to patients in hazardous situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to complex and potentially protracted incidents, delivering paramedic interventions through key HART capability areas.
- Work in a multi-agency environment, collaborating with external agencies and organizations to provide high-quality patient care.
- Supervise staff and support new entrants, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Develop relationships with external agencies and organizations, fostering partnerships to enhance patient care and service delivery.
- Work across organizational boundaries within health and social care, ensuring seamless patient care and service delivery.
Requirements
- Registered Qualified HCPC Paramedic with extensive operational experience (2 years post-registration experience, including preceptorship training and Newly Qualified Paramedic (NQP) period).
- Emergency Driving Qualification (IHCD or FutureQuals).
- Valid manual B category UK Driving licence, including category C1, with no more than 3 penalty points.
- Proven clinical skills and a commitment to delivering high standards of patient care.
- Ability to make sound clinical decisions, often at short notice.
- Ability to maintain high standards of clinical care and health and safety, even in stressful and challenging situations.
