Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Fluid Systems team, you will be responsible for the design and development of Mechanical Platform Systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the design and development of Mechanical Platform Systems.
  • Working closely with suppliers to develop equipment and component specifications.
  • Collaborating with customers to develop requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Performing and reviewing engineering calculations and analysis.
  • Developing design evidence to justify safe and effective designs.
  • Coordinating and managing stakeholders to solve complex engineering problems.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Educated to Degree level in Engineering, Mechanical or Science subjects.
  • Chartered Engineer within a recognised engineering institute.
  • Background in Fluid Systems Design.
  • Design documentation and presentation skills.
  • Solving complex engineering calculations.
