About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Dietitian to join our dynamic Child Health team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will have significant post-registration experience in child health dietetics and be able to demonstrate a strong clinical judgment, with excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide specialist, evidence-based dietetic services for children and young people with cystic fibrosis.
  • To develop and deliver standardized meal plans for patients with eating disorders, working closely with community teams.
  • To participate in multidisciplinary meetings, shared care clinics, and MDT clinics, ensuring seamless care coordination.
  • To liaise with healthcare professionals, social care teams, and safeguarding departments to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration
  • Significant post-registration experience at Band 6 level or above
  • Experience in child health dietetics is essential

Location: Royal Preston Hospital, with occasional clinics at Chorley Hospital. The role is based on a permanent contract, with 3 days per week (22 hours). You will be required to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing exceptional care to our patients.
