We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner - Paediatrics to join our team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and plan care for children and their families, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances, which may include complex health conditions or disabilities.
  • Develop and implement care plans, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, therapists, and social workers.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior staff members, promoting their development and helping them to achieve their full potential, which is essential for building a cohesive and effective team.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to patient safety, adhering to relevant laws and regulations, such as the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, which is critical for protecting our patients and staff.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures, ensuring that they are effective and meet the needs of our patients, which requires a deep understanding of paediatric care and its complexities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care activities, adhering to local and professional documentation standards, which is vital for auditing and evaluation purposes.
  • Promote equal opportunities in care, respecting the dignity and autonomy of all patients and their families, which is fundamental to providing patient-centered care.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in paediatrics and a passion for delivering high-quality care. The salary for this role is estimated to be around £40,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
