Climate Change Mitigation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to join our team as a Climate Change Mitigation Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the field of climate change mitigation.
In this role, you will lead the development and application of the FaIR Simple Climate Model to deliver high-impact policy-relevant climate science. Your expertise in climate and earth system science, combined with your strong programming skills, will enable you to drive innovation and excellence in our team.
You will work closely with government departments, such as the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, to provide expert advice on climate change mitigation strategies. Your ability to communicate complex scientific information effectively will be invaluable in shaping policy decisions that benefit society.
As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of a traceable set of Earth System Prediction capabilities, advancing process understanding and informing policy. You will also collaborate with international partners on scenario development and understanding mitigation options.
