Safety and Compliance Role in the North of Scotland

We are seeking a motivated SHEQ Advisor to join our team in Inverness, working with a large contractor in the civils and construction industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress into a management position.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and safety, with qualifications such as the NEBOSH Certificate. They should also have experience in ISO 9001/14001/45001 and other industry verification schemes. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this role, as well as the ability to coach good safety behaviors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, including the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations
  • Developing and implementing HSEQ procedures, risk assessments, and related communications
  • Monitoring HSEQ compliance and supporting site teams
  • Covering broader company requirements during holiday cover, etc.

A hybrid approach can be adopted, with a balance of time in the office and in the field. The salary for this role is negotiable, depending on experience, but could range from £30K-£50K.
