Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our Risk Department at Tokio Marine Kiln. The successful candidate will report to a Risk Actuary and support the Risk Management Team in extracting value from the annual internal capital model validation exercise.
This role includes responsibility for:
- Assisting in producing plans for the annual internal capital model validation testing cycle.
- Preparing templates in preparation for analysis and testing.
- Managing data requests and receipt and providing regular status updates.
- Developing an understanding of TMK's risk profile and using this to form expectations of the internal model.
- Performing core validation testing and supporting deep-dive testing of the internal model.
- Participating in the identification, assessment, and monitoring of emerging risks, opportunities, and trends.
- Ensuring that the emerging risks process works effectively and that there is a strong feedback loop which supports strategic decision-making within TMK at both a business level and at an underwriting level.
- Supporting the drafting of response notes to emerging risks and opportunities, including considering the impact to the business and recommended actions.
- Supporting the design and performance of scenario testing for the ORSA, validation, and regulatory stress tests purposes.
The successful candidate will have an understanding of at least one of the following: insurance, risk management practices, and/or the Lloyd's insurance market. Awareness of actuarial capital modelling techniques and/or model validation would be an advantage. We are looking for someone with an expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, who has the ability to absorb new information and apply it to new and diverse situations.
