**School Improvement Liverpool** is seeking a Strategic SEND Development Manager to lead the development of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) policy and provision in the School. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all students receive high-quality education and support.

About the Role

The Strategic SEND Development Manager will:

  • Determine the strategic development of SEND policy and provision in the School
  • Be responsible for day-to-day operation of the SEND policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual students with SEND
  • Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff across the School, parents, and other agencies

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the development of a SEND strategy that aligns with the School's overall goals and objectives
  2. Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to ensure effective implementation of SEND policies and procedures
  3. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEND provision, making recommendations for improvement

Requirements

  • Qualified teacher status as required under the SEND Code of Practice
  • National Award for SEN Co-ordination, or a willingness to complete it within 3 years of appointment as required under the SEND Code of Practice
  • Experience of working at a whole-school level

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £63,815 - £70,293 per annum, depending on experience.
