Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Planning Manager to join our team at ENGINEERINGUK. As a key member of our planning function, you will be responsible for delivering key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.
  • Support the long-term success of planning performance for specified engines/sectors/hubs, and the overall contribution to the broader company goals.
  • Develop detailed plans taking full cognisance of logistics/site/project constraints.
  • Interface with project team, contributing to the production of the weekly progress report to the project team and understand functional obligations under form of contract.
  • Communicate effectively with the client, project team and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Competency to produce programmes and sequence plans with minimal supervision.
  • Intermediate software user.
  • Established experience in built environment and with projects.
  • Understanding of different procurement routes and types and forms of contract.
  • Communicate & present to project team on programme drivers, goals & issues, etc.

  • Extensive experience in the successful planning of projects and programmes in the consult sector.
  • Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
