Job type: Permanent.

Working hours: Full & Part-time options up to 36 hours per week - Covering a mixture of early, late & weekend shifts (must be flexible).

Salary: Up to £26,000 per annum + excellent benefits.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Aquatic Safety Expert to join our team at Hinksey Leisure Centre in Oxford. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of pool users, providing customer care, supervising activities, maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the pool area, and handling pool equipment safely.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to pool users of all ages.
  • Supervise swimming lessons, water aerobics, and other aquatic activities.
  • Maintain a safe and clean pool environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Respond to emergencies, administer first aid when necessary, and perform CPR if required.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless operation of the leisure centre.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (Royal Life Saving Society) and have strong swimming skills. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving.
