Your Role at Oxa Autonomy

We are seeking a pioneering Safety Engineer to join our team at Oxa Autonomy. This individual will spearhead the development of innovative safety engineering approaches, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety engineering strategies aligned with ISO 26262, ISO/DIS 21448, and other relevant standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute safety verification and validation processes.
  • Plan, track, and report safety achievements, generating safety cases to inform project decisions.
  • Perform safety analyses using FTA, FMEA, STPA, DFA, and other relevant methods.
  • Derive and define safety requirements, supporting the creation of test cases and validation criteria.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A deep understanding of safety principles and a passion for driving safety innovation.
  • Proven experience in functional safety and/or SOTIF implementation.
  • Knowledge of safety standards, including ISO 26262, PAS 21448, and ISO TS 5083.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information to various audiences.
  • Experience with real-time embedded systems and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Desirable Qualifications

A background in software engineering or robotics, combined with experience working on vehicle autonomy or advanced ADAS programmes (L3), would be highly advantageous.
