Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Colt Technology Services.
About the RoleThis is a pivotal position that will support our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) strategy, executing the risk management plan and enhancing the risk framework. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Head of Risk and other teams to drive proactive risk management, improve processes, and inform decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Risk Strategy & Planning: Assist in developing and implementing Colt's risk management strategy and annual plan, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Risk Modelling & Analytics: Lead the adoption of data-driven risk practices to enhance insights and decision-making, utilizing advanced analytics tools and techniques.
- Risk Identification & Assessment: Conduct regular risk identification and evaluation across business units, defining risk appetite and monitoring progress.
- Control Development: Collaborate with business teams to establish controls that mitigate identified risks within the defined appetite, ensuring effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Risk Maturity & Culture: Promote a strong risk-aware culture and integrate risk insights into business decision-making, fostering a risk-informed environment.
- Risk Reporting: Deliver comprehensive risk reports to the Board, Executive Leadership Team, and Audit Committee, providing timely and actionable insights.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, such as anti-bribery, fraud prevention, and climate-related obligations, maintaining a high level of regulatory compliance.
- Project Support: Provide risk expertise on key strategic initiatives and projects, ensuring effective risk assessment and mitigation.
- Professional Background: 5+ years of experience in risk management, global corporate, or FTSE 100 company, with a proven track record of improving risk processes.
- Risk Management Expertise: Strong knowledge of risk frameworks and methodologies, with hands-on experience in risk assessment and mitigation.
- Data Analytics & Risk Modelling: Proficient in data analytics tools and techniques, with experience in risk modelling and scenario planning.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with ability to manage multiple stakeholders and communicate complex risk information.
- Problem Solving: Collaborative approach to analyzing and addressing business risks, with ability to think critically and creatively.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple work streams and deliver high-quality outcomes, prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Relevant risk management qualifications, such as CRMA, IRM Diploma, or C-Risk, demonstrating expertise in risk management.
- Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in accounting, such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, with understanding of financial concepts and principles.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and data analytics tools, with experience in risk management software and systems.
The estimated salary for this role is £80,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
