Job Description:

This role involves maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors at Worthgate School.

The successful candidate will be required to carry out a variety of cleaning duties across the school and its buildings on a day-to-day basis.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and upkeep of school teaching buildings and boarding house residences.
  • Daily cleaning of College and School of English buildings.
  • Weekly cleaning of individual houses.
  • Check toilets and communal areas are clean and tidy at regular intervals.
  • Keep outside areas free of rubbish.
  • Report any cleanliness/health and safety/repair issues to line manager promptly.
  • Deal with all customers (students, staff, external) with courtesy and promptness at all times.
  • Use equipment, machinery and cleaning materials effectively, efficiently and in accordance with safe working practices to carry out your duties.
  • Work independently, or in small teams as/when required, to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Undertake additional duties during the Summer School period.
  • Occasional duties in the canteen.
  • Any other duties required by line manager or Operations Manager.

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
