Job Overview

We are currently looking for a skilled International Support Assistant to join our residential operations team on a zero-hour basis. As a key member of our team, you will provide support during peak periods, including our Summer School, which operates from June to August.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for undertaking various duties across our Cleaning and Catering departments, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This includes cleaning school buildings, boarding house residences, and maintaining kitchen facilities.

Cleaning Tasks:

  • Dusting surfaces, wiping door handles, mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, cleaning restrooms, showers, and residence communal kitchens
  • Emptying bins and replenishing stocks
  • Daily cleaning of College and School of English buildings
  • Weekly cleaning of individual houses
  • Reporting cleanliness, health and safety, and repair issues to your line manager promptly

Catering Tasks:

  • Food preparation as required
  • Assisting with the serving of food during mealtimes
  • Maintaining hygiene standards within current regulations
  • Ensuring all Health and Safety regulations are obeyed
  • Cleaning kitchen equipment
  • Operating the Pot Wash facility, including loading and unloading utensils, cutlery, plates, etc.
  • Assisting with the serving of the Coffee Bar facility
  • Preparing, making, and serving hot beverages as required

Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
