We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Education Support Assistant to join our partner schools in Canterbury. As a valuable member of our team, you will work closely with teachers to support students in their academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and delivery.
  • Provide individualized support to students or small groups with learning activities.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) on a one-to-one basis.
  • Foster a supportive and engaging environment to help pupils thrive.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure the welfare and progress of students.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A patient, caring, and supportive nature.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach.
  • A willingness to support students with SEN and/or challenging behaviors.

Desirable qualifications and experience include a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or similar) and experience in primary or secondary education. Knowledge of safeguarding policies and practices is also desirable.
