Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Social Worker to join our team as a Specialist Practitioner in the Children's Safeguarding Team at Stoke on Trent City Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing children's needs and working closely with families to ensure their safety and well-being.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in Children's Social Work, with a proven track record of success in assessing children's needs and working effectively with families.

This is a temporary contract for 3 months, working 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation). The successful candidate will be expected to hold a Degree, be registered with Social Work England, have a current DBS, and be a car driver.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Develop and implement effective plans to support children and families
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for children
  • Hold regular meetings with families and provide updates on progress
