Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Bournemouth or surrounding areas.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and proactive individual to provide individualized support to students with varying learning and emotional needs. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the classroom teacher to facilitate effective lesson delivery and contribute to maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher to deliver effective lessons and provide individualized support to students.
  • Support students with varying learning and emotional needs, including following individual education and behavior plans.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and fellow staff members.

Requirements:

  • Must be patient, reliable, and proactive.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of individual pupils.
  • Experience working 1:1 with children or in small groups.
  • Plan and lead small group interventions to support pupils working below age-related expectations.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday.
  • 8:30-15:30 hours.
  • £12.82 per hour.
