About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our dynamic and progressive paediatric team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with children, young people, and their families to provide high-quality speech and language therapy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide speech and language therapy services to children and young people with a range of communication needs, including feeding and swallowing difficulties.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Conduct assessments and provide therapy sessions in various settings, including our dedicated children's services clinic and community settings.
  • Manage a caseload of clients with moderate to complex communication needs and/or feeding and swallowing difficulties.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in speech and language therapy, and apply this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Recognized Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification.
  • HCPC registration and membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Experience working with children and young people with communication needs, including feeding and swallowing difficulties.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including observation, listening, and empathy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
