About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our dynamic and progressive paediatric team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will have a recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree and HCPC registration, with a passion for supporting children and young people with feeding, swallowing, and communication needs.

As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to provide high-quality speech and language therapy services in various settings, including our dedicated children's services clinic and community settings.

You will have the opportunity to work with a range of clients, from babies to young people, and develop and manage treatment plans to meet their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality speech and language therapy services to children and young people with feeding, swallowing, and communication needs.
  • Develop and manage treatment plans to meet the individual needs of clients.
  • Work collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to provide a comprehensive service.
  • Contribute to the development of the team and service, through participation in meetings, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and treatment plans.
Requirements
  • Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree and HCPC registration.
  • Experience working with children and young people with feeding, swallowing, and communication needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including observation, listening, and empathy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good IT skills and ability to use electronic records systems.
