About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to provide a service for children and young people aged 0-19 presenting with a range of speech, language, communication, and feeding needs within our dedicated children's services clinic or within community settings and patient homes.
The ideal candidate will have a recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification, HCPC registration, and excellent interpersonal skills, including observation, listening, and empathy. They will be able to work as an integrated member of the Children's Services team as a Speech and Language Therapist in various settings, independently managing a caseload of clients with moderate/complex/profound communication needs, and/or with feeding and swallowing difficulties.
The successful candidate will have experience working with clients who have a range of speech, language, and communication needs, as well as experience developing and managing treatment plans for clients with feeding and swallowing difficulties. They will also be able to use their own initiative, prioritise tasks, and work effectively within a team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a progressive and culturally diverse environment, with opportunities for training and development, and the potential to progress to a Band 7 position in the future.
