Job Title: Adult Mental Health Professional

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd, a leading recruitment agency, is seeking a highly skilled Adult Mental Health Professional to join their team on a permanent basis.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Adult Mental Health Professional to work with our clients in Worcestershire. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking timely Mental Health Act assessments, preparing reports, and making applications to the Magistrates Court for warrants under the Mental Health Act.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake Mental Health Act assessments in community settings, psychiatric hospitals, and other relevant locations.
  • Prepare reports and make applications to the Magistrates Court for warrants under the Mental Health Act.
  • Collaborate with the County Councils Legal team and the AMHP Manager to prepare reports and present evidence in relation to the appointment of Acting Nearest Relatives.
  • Ensure professional registration is up to date and take ownership of own professional development, attending training, workshops, and meetings.
  • Have an understanding of and respect for people's qualities, abilities, and diverse backgrounds, and be able to identify and counter any decision based on unlawful discrimination.
  • Write court reports and give evidence in relation to adults at risk during legal proceedings, as required.
  • Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities, and encourage and support staff in their development and training.

Requirements:

  • A social work qualification or equivalent.
  • Registration with the relevant health professional council/governing body (Social Care England).
