Job Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Spacecraft Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for working hands-on with flight hardware and driving the technical development of our Space Systems missions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain technical budgets and ensure compliance to quality standards (EN9100) and/or ECSS and/or tailored PA Plan.
- Define architectures and designs from specifications and lead the systems engineering process to meet technical systems and requirements.
- Manage project delivery on-time and on-budget, working closely with the CTO and the rest of your colleagues on the technical team.
- Act as a point-of-contact with established players such as lead space primes and/or space agencies.
- Technical & line management of other project, mechanical, design, manufacturing and analysis engineers.
- Responsible for the adequate increase of TRL of the system / subsystem / components.
- Definition, implementation of the development and verification approach, producing corresponding documentation.
Requirements:
- BS in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience leading satellite developments as a Systems Engineer.
- Experience across all phases of a program life cycle.
- Strong understanding of engineering first principles.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, mission-driven, and a team player.
Salary Estimate: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
