Job Description: At D-Orbit, we are pioneering the future of space logistics and transportation. As a Sr. Systems Engineering Professional, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our spacecraft missions. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the design and development of complex spacecraft systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.

You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in space exploration. Our ideal candidate has a strong background in aerospace engineering principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The salary for this role is estimated to be around £65,000 - £85,000 per annum based on location and experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain system-level designs and architectures for spacecraft missions;
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and services;
  • Conduct trade studies and analysis to identify optimal system configurations;
  • Maintain accurate records of system performance, testing, and validation;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope;
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations;
  • Analyze and resolve system-related issues;
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers;
  • Author and review technical documents, including design specifications and test plans;
  • Participate in system-level testing and validation activities.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field;
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in systems engineering or a related field;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Proficiency in systems engineering tools and methodologies;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines;
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations;
  • Strong understanding of spacecraft systems and their interdependencies;
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions.
