About the Role

We are seeking two enthusiastic and motivated pharmacists to join our patient-focused team of rotational Clinical Pharmacists. The successful candidates will provide clinical pharmaceutical services within specialist areas, promoting safe and cost-effective use of medicines.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical pharmaceutical services within specialist areas, including attending ward rounds, ward meetings, and homecare delivery services.
  • Monitor prescribing practices and provide feedback and recommendations to improve standards and guidelines.
  • Support the development and review of prescribing guidelines within specialist areas, taking into account local and national policies and procedures.
  • Deputise for Senior Specialist Pharmacists in attending unit meetings, clinical governance meetings, and reviewing monthly drug expenditure.
  • Provide dispensary support to ensure timely turnaround of in-patient and discharge medicines.
  • Liaise with Operational Managers and Senior Pharmacists to identify issues and implement processes to ensure efficient delivery of medicines.

Person Specification
  • Essential:
    • Registered as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
    • Postgraduate Certificate in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent experience.
  • Desirable:
    • Non-Medical Prescriber.
